The UA Homecoming and Family Weekend ranks among the largest organized University events each year. It invites Akron alumni back to campus to celebrate their alma mater, with the Alumni Team hosting a week-long lineup of cookouts, student events, departmental contests, and a campus-wide tailgate as the grand finale. Every year, the Homecoming Team introduces a fresh theme—a 90’s throwback, a circus carnival, or even a 100th anniversary celebration, to name a few. I’ve had the privilege of working with the Alumni Team to design four themes, along with the creative projects that follow. From event signage, t-shirts, and photo booth setups to merchandise and student giveaways, the experience is consistently elevated each year.
