Zippy’s Block Party

Each year, the UA Alumni Association organizes the university’s Homecoming (HC) and Family Weekend event, calling for all Akron alumni to return home and celebrate their alma mater. Having dismissed the 2020 HC celebration due to the pandemic, 2021’s theme was to focus on the return to campus and in-person events with the subtle nod to the 90’s. Zippy’s Block Party played host to thousands of retuning alumni and the current student body.
